Marx doesn’t have to be an ism, it just deals with theory and practice

If we in the west continue to ignore the substance and contribution of Marx, we risk the possibility of denying thought that has affected and continues to affect a great deal of the worlds’ cultures. To disregard this tradition is to disregard experience and knowledge which is in no one’s benefit. While we may disagree with Marx’s conclusion, it is a tradition that has maintained a focus on certain segments of the world that has been traditionally ignored, and continues to be marginalized. Let us at least add Marx thought into the discussion of praxis which is generally related to the connection between theory and practice.
